steve, i appreciate your past efforts, however, i am as old as you are, and i don't have any children in the school system, but i still feel that it is part of my obligation as a taxpayer and a citizen to monitor what the school board is doing. obviously, i am in the minority in this effort.

Vic,
Been there and done it at School Board meetings in the past.It was back in the 1990's when my children were students.
Issues that involved me were fighting the Charter School,
working to remove the DARE program from the intermediate school, fighting the 3rd referendum on building the $40M H.S. and lastly educating myself and the public on the Block Scheduling scheme.
During my regular attendence at school board meetings for 6+ years I ran unsuccessfully 3 times for the school board. Thus I feel that I did my hard time being a witness on behalf of the children and now it's the new generation of parents' turn.

My energies and attention are now being a witness to the dysfunctional City Council and Administration.
Steve ,
