Coastal Flood Advisory in Effect for Tuesday Evening
The National Weather Service warns of minor tidal flooding.
Heavy rain, strong ocean winds and a near full moon will combine this evening to bring possible flooding to Ocean City. The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood advisory in effect from 7 p.m. to midnight on Tuesday, Feb. 26. Residents in flood-prone areas should consider moving vehicles to high ground. High tide on the bay side of Ocean City at the Ninth Street Bridge will occur at 8:44 p.m. Tuesday (and 8:58 a.m. Wednesday morning). The moon was full on Monday. The forecast ("100 percent chance of precipitation") suggests up to three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible tonight with east winds of 20 to 24 mph.
