Ocean City Police Assist in Crack Cocaine Arrest

A Wildwood man is accused of distributing crack cocaine.

The Ocean City Police Department assisted in the Tuesday arrest of a 66-year-old Wildwood man on charges of distributing crack cocaine. A joint narcotics investigation by the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office and police departments in Ocean City and Wildwood resulted in the arrest of Walter Aubrey and the seizing of 80 bags of suspected crack cocaine worth more than $4,000. Aubrey's car was also seized and may be forfeited. Aubrey is being held in the Cape May County Correctional Facility on $75,000 cash bail.  He is charged with possession of cocaine, distribution of cocaine and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a school zone. Police Make Arrest In Cocaine Investigation

Petersburg resident charged.

The Ocean City Police Department made an arrest in a cocaine investigation Wednesday night. They searched a vehicle in the 3200 block of Bay Avenue and seized what they believe is cocaine. Arrested was Darrin A. Opphile of the Petersburg section of Upper Township. Opphile is being held on $35,000.00 full cash bail. The investigation was conducted by Det. Stephen Sullivan and Det. Dan Lancaster.
