Exhibit Features 100 Years of Ocean City Fishing

The Ocean City Historical Museum will host the exhibit, which opens with a reception on Friday, July 12, 2013.

Partnering with the Ocean City Fishing Club, the Ocean City Historical Museum will host an exhibit on the history of the Ocean City Fishing Club, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.

This exhibit will highlight the founding of the club, its development and its role in Ocean City’s community, both in the past and today. The exhibit will display historic rods, reels, photographs and a selection of the club’s trophies, including the illustrious Ocean City Fishing Cup.

Items from members of the Ocean Fishing Club have been placed on loan with the museum to help round out the exhibit. The exhibit will open July 12 with a special reception at 7 p,m. For more information about the exhibit or the opening, call the museum at 609-399-1801.
