Ocean City to See Monday Rain and Tuesday Mix

The National Weather Service forecast calls for Sunday's snow to turn to rain.

The precipitation that started as a surprising snowfall on Sunday afternoon will turn to rain on Sunday night and continue on Monday, according to the latest National Weather Service forecast.

With a high near 48 degrees on Monday, Ocean City will see as much as another half-inch of rain on Monday, mainly before 3 p.m. Forecasters call for east wind of 7 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Rain and snow are likely on Tuesday, mainly after 10 a.m., with a high near 39 degrees and northwest wind 11 to 13 mph. 

High tide on Monday (Dec. 9) will be 1:24 p.m. at the Ninth Street Bridge. The ocean water temperature is 44 degrees.

Local surfers may want to check conditions on Monday afternoon after the winds shift offshore.
