Ocean City Halloween Parade Tonight on Asbury Avenue

Watch or march in the annual event, which starts at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 24.

The Ocean City Exchange Club and the City of Ocean City will present the 66th annual Halloween Parade at 7:15 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 24).

This event is one of the longest running Halloween Parades in the tri-state area. The parade route is from Sixth to 11th streets on Asbury Avenue.

The event includes eight divisions with colorful costumed marchers competing for prizes. There will also be numerous decorated floats, several high school bands and the always entertaining Pitman Hobo Band.

Remember to bring a can of food on Thursday evening. It will be collected by local Boy Scouts. They are assisting the Ocean City Food Cupboard by “Scouting for Food” for those in need.

Registration in the parade is free at www.ochp.blogspot.com. Late entries may register Thursday night at Sixth Street and Asbury Avenue. beginning 6:30 p.m. For more information, call the Parade Hotline at 1-800-813-5580.
