Columbus Day Closes Schools and Ocean City Offices

The federal holiday is Monday, Oct. 14.

Today is Columbus Day, a federal holiday since 1937, and as such, many government offices will be closed.

In Ocean City:

  • Ocean City public schools are closed
  • Ocean City municipal offices are closed
  • The U.S. Post Office is closed
A seafood festival continues as scheduled at the Ocean City Music Pier 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday (Oct. 14). The event features local seafood restaurants and vendors. 

Boardwalk and downtown Asbury Avenue merchants will hold table sales on Monday.
