Miss Ocean City Parade Starts at 6 P.M. Tonight

The Aug. 8 procession through downtown and the Boardwalk is a prelude to the pageant on Saturday, Aug. 11.

Nine contestants will give fans a preview of Saturday's Miss Ocean City Pageant during a parade tonight at 6 p.m.

The route will follow the path of the annual DooDah parade — starting on Asbury Avenue at Sixth Street, proceeding through downtown Ocean City, turning on 12th Street, moving to the Ocean City Boardwalk and finishing on the Boardwalk at Sixth Street.

The contestants will ride in convertibles in the parade, which is sponsored by the Ocean City Exchange Club.

Caroline Bowman, Cassie Cattie, Tricia DeFelice, Samantha Dowling, Katie Larkin, Rachel Louviaux, Eva Nuesbaum, Phoebe Schumacher and Devon Vanderslice are among the contestants, which Exchange Club President Jon Batastini calls an exceptionally talented group.

The is open to the public and scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the . Tickets ($15) are available at the Music Pier Box Office.
