Guide: 2012's New Boardwalk Businesses

A guide to some of the newest restaurants, attractions and snack stands on the boardwalk.

If you have walked the Ocean City Boardwalk this summer, you may have noticed the skeleton outside of the new attraction, or the green-slime colored paint outside of the . You may have stopped for a or to grab a sticky bun next door at early one morning.

Perhaps you've had a coney from the The , or an all lamb meat gyro from , or some tart yogurt covered in your choice of more than 50 toppings from .

But if you haven't had a chance to check out these new businesses, all new this year on the Ocean City Boardwalk, here is your guide:

  • Location: 10th Street and Boardwalk
  • Costs $10 per person
  • Box office opens at 2 or 3 p.m. every day
  • Shows, which are more like zombie-shooter games, run every 10 minutes
  • Shows start at 5:30 p.m. and end at midnight
  • Can be found on Facebook

  • Location: Between 8th Street and 9th Street on the Boardwalk
  • Open from 8 a.m. until midnight daily
  • Costs $6.95 before 6 p.m., $7.95 after
  • 18 hole, indoor, air conditioned course
  • Includes haunted study with moving animal heads, haunted ballroom with dancing ghosts and undead pianist and haunted sewer rooms
  • Limit of four people per hole

  • Location: Between 8th Street and 9th Street on the Boardwalk
  • Open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, 10 p.m. on weekends
  • Menu features Greek staples, such as gyros (made from all lamb meat), souvlaki and grape leaves
  • Prices range from $5.50 for appetizers to $12.95 for specialty sandwiches like the crab cake sandwich
  • Features healthy options, such as smoothies and salads
  • Other options include burgers, wraps, quesadillas, and a children's menu

  • Location: Between 6th Street and 7th Street on the Boardwalk, in front of
  • Open from noon to 11:30 p.m.
  • Features pretzel twists, pepperoni pretzel melts and hot dogs
  • Offers dipping sauces and mustards: Yellow mustard, butter cream, spicy brown, honey mustard, super hot mustard, cheese sauce

  • Location: Between 6th Street and 7th Street on the Boardwalk, in front of Gillian's Wonderland Pier (original location on Bay Avenue)
  • Open from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. daily, offering breakfast foods and coffee, such as sticky buns and bagels

  • Location: Between 8th Street and 9th Street on the Boardwalk
  • 18 flavors daily, such as Oreo Cookie, Peanut butter, Sticky-Icky Cinnamon Bun, Original Hollywood Tart or French Vanilla
  • More than 50 toppings, such as granola, fresh fruits, candy and nuts
  • Portion of profits go to charities: Gilda's Club, Fisher House and the National Center on Family Homelessness

  • Location: Between 11th Street and 12th Street on the Boardwalk
  • Open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., sometimes open later
  • Offers hot dogs with various topics, such as the Coney (chili, chopped onions and cheddar) or the Nashville (BBQ onions, bacon and cole slaw)
  • Prices for hot dogs range from $3.75 for a Naked Dog to $5.25 for the Nashville Dog
  • Offers burgers, pub-style chips with various toppings, zucchini chips and gourmet frozen ices that are 100 percent fruit with no additives
