Courtney Pellegrino Crowned Miss Night in Venice

The 12 contestants raised $58,000 for local charities during the annual Ocean City event.

Courtney Pellegrino was named Miss Night in Venice on Thursday evening in a ceremony at the Moorlyn Family Theater on the Ocean City Boardwalk.

The public chose Pellegrino by donating the most to charity in her name. In this contest, votes are cast in the form of dollars and coins dropped in donation buckets at local businesses bearing each candidate's photograph.

The contest raised $58,000 for four charities: the HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers, the Ocean City Ecumenical Council Food Cupboard, the Sunshine Foundation for chronically ill children and the Ocean City High School After-Prom.

Pellegrino was sponsored by the Gabriel Building Group.

The other top contestants were:

  • First Runner-Up: Corinne Materazzi, Obadiah's and Yesterday's
  • Second Runner-Up: Phoebe Schumacher, Uncle Bill's Pancake House
  • Third Runner-Up: Monica DiStefano, Sack-O-Subs
  • Fourth Runner-Up: Felicia Cullen, Johnson's Popcorn
