Tiebreaker Gives A.C. Women's Lifeguard Title Over OCBP

The Atlantic City and Ocean City beach patrols tied in total points at the Cape-Atlantic Women's Lifeguard Championships.

The Ocean City Beach Patrol tied Atlantic City with 12 overall points in the Cape-Atlantic Women's Lifeguard Invitational on Wednesday evening, but Atlantic City was awarded the title by merit of a better finish in the doubles row — the tiebreaker in South Jersey lifeguard events.

Cape May (10 points), Ventnor and Sea Isle City (9 points apiece) rounded out the top five patrols.

Erin Curry completed a sweep of every lifeguard competition she entered this summer with a victory in the swim. Curry, who will be a Liberty University sophomore in the fall, caught a wave to stretch her lead over Sea Isle City's Madison Meyer.
