Results of the Independence Day Bay Swim

The annual event raises money for the Ocean City C-Cerpants team, which trains at the Ocean City Community Center.

The annual Independence Day Bay Swim drew a field of 114 on Friday night at Kennedy Park in Somers Point.

The 1-mile swim in the Great Egg Harbor Bay starts and ends at the park and raises money for the Ocean City C-Cerpants age-group swim team.

Sean Regan, 16, of Fort Washington, PA, was the overall winner in 17 minutes, 31 seconds. Hannah Wakely, 17, of Egg Harbor City, was the top female finisher.
