The Nor'easters play New York Greek American Atlas at Carey Field, 7 p.m.

The Ocean City FC Nor'easters soccer team begin play in the 2014 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Wednesday night when they host New York Greek American Atlas at Carey Field, 7 p.m. Carey Field is located at 6th Street and Atlantic Avenue.

Wednesday night's game will be a second round game in the nation's oldest soccer tournament. Each team received a first round bye.

First played in 1914, the U.S. Open Cup is a unique soccer tournament that pits teams from all professional levels against each other to determine the national champion.

The Nor'easters, who play in the USL Premier Development League, have the opportunity to prove themselves against teams from higher levels, including Major League Soccer.

The Nor'easters advanced to the third round of the tournament last year before falling to Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union, 2-1.

New York Greek American Atlas plays in the Cosmopolitan Soccer League.

Tickets for Wednesday night's game are $10 for adults and $7 for children.
