Ocean City Girls Swim Team Falls Short in State Final

The Red Raiders' historic season came to an end with a loss to Chatham on Sunday.

The Ocean City High School girls' swim team historic season came with to an end with the team's first loss on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Raiders fell to Chatham, 99-71, in the NJSIAA State Group B final at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

Ocean City fell to 14-1 during a season that saw the Red Raiders win the Cape-Atlantic League championship, win the South Jersey title for the first time and advance to the program's first state final.

Chatham's seniors went undefeated for their career, according to the report.

Ocean City senior Noel Styer won the 50 and 100 freestyle races, and freshman Amanda Nunan captured the 200 and 500 freestyle races, according to the report.
