Informal Run/Walk on Saturday Benefits Storm Relief Effort
Entry fee for the 'We All Run Together for Sandy' (WARTS) run/walk in Ocean City on Nov. 24 is any donation of canned goods, cleaning supplies or cash.
The Sneaker Shop and friends are organizing 5-kilometer and 5-mile runs on Saturday, Nov. 24, in support of recovering and rebuilding Ocean City in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Anybody interested in participating in the informal 'We All Run Together for Sandy' (WARTS) event is asked to meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Ocean City Aquatic and Fitness Center at 17th Street and Simpson Avenue.
Participants are asked to wear bright-colored shirts and bring canned goods, cleaning supplies or cash donations to help support those dealing with Sandy. That's the only requirement.
