State Sen. President Steve Sweeney is The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey’s Legislator in Residence this week.

The Legislator in Residence program is a two-day event that brings a legislator to the college to engage with students, faculty and administrators. Sweeney will appear on campus on Tuesday and Thursday.

Sweeney will meet with students and answer questions during a luncheon at 12:30 p.m. at the cafeteria, followed by a discussion with Stockton Polling Institute researchers at 1:40 p.m.

He will participate in a public policy forum with Professor Michael Rodriguez and students on Tuesday.

He will participate in one event on Thursday, a Coastal Research Center discussion of its work and the impact of Sandy at 9:30 a.m.

The Legislator in Residence program began in the spring of 2012, and has featured State Sen. Christopher J. Connors, Assemblyman Brian E. Rumpf, Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver and Assemblyman David Wolfe.
