Public Hearing on School Budget Takes Place Wednesday Night

The budget was re-introduced on April 23 due to a glitch.

The public hearing on the Ocean City High School Board of Education's 2014-15 budget takes place Wednesday night at the high school, 7 p.m.

The Board of Education re-introduced the budget at its April 23 meeting, after the Cape May County Superintendent informed the board of a glitch, according to the Ocean City Gazette.

The $44.3 million budget carries a $24,681,877 tax levy. The tax increase on the average Ocean City home assessed at $500,000 will be $17.90 annually, according to the report.
