Ocean City Schools Closed on Monday

Seven inches of snow have fallen in parts of Cape May County.

All Ocean City public schools will be closed on Monday as Cape May County was hit with the highest snowfall totals in the most recent storm.

The Ocean City High School, Intermediate School and Primary School were all closed on Monday due to inclement weather, according to messages on the school district's phone services.

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and all instructional sites will open at noon, with classes commencing at 12:45 p.m., according to the college's website.

The latest snowstorm hit Cape May County hardest, with seven inches of snow falling on Dias Creek, according to the National Weather Service. Dennisville and Cape May each saw six inches.

The schools were suppose to be off today but because of past snow days they scheduled school today. Now they're off again. Just a suggestion....for next years "school year" why don't they schedule 185 school days. Than when it get closer to May-June and say no days were used for school closing...it'll be easier for all. (Ex) Put the last day of school being say June 25. No school days were used so that'll make the last day of school June 20th. Than the likelihood of figuring out where to make up lost school days won't be so hindering.
