Brenda Moiso Elected President of Ocean City Board of Education

The three-term school board member is chosen with seven of nine votes from the board.

The Ocean City Board of Education elected Brenda C. Moiso as its president at the board's annual reorganization meeting on Wednesday.

Moiso was chosen with seven votes from the nine Ocean City members on the board. Board member Gregory Donahue received the other two votes. She will serve a one-year term as president.

Moiso is one year into her third three-year term on the board. She and her husband own and operate the D&B Printing shop on West Avenue.

H. James Bauer was the sole nominee and was elected as vice president of the board.

Joseph Clark, Antwan McClellan and Donahue were sworn in to new three-year terms on the board. The three incumbents ran unopposed in the April 27 election.

Moiso and her colleagues thanked Peter Madden for his hard work and a job well done as president in the past year.

Tbe reorganization meeting also designated the following dates for board meetings until the next reorganization meeting:

March 28, 2012
April 25, 2012

All of these dates are for meetings at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Community Room at Ocean City High School.
