Red Raider Parade Highlights Alumni Weekend

Ocean City High School's all-classes reunion featured a downtown parade on Saturday.

Alumni, students, retirees and city officials gathered early Saturday morning to celebrate Ocean City High School pride.

Asbury Avenue awoke to red and white as participants rolled down the street in cars and on floats for the 10 a.m. Red Raider Parade.

The parade was one of the centerpieces of Red & White Weekend, Ocean City High School's all-classes reunion, now in its fourth year. The weekend includes four days of events from Sept. 13 to 16.

The Marine Corps Color Guard began the parade along with the Ocean City Fire and Police Departments. Dan Money, Class of 1963, was the grand marshal for the even (read more about Money's career).

Class alumni of all years were joined by City Council President Mike Allegretto and Councilman Keith Hartzell, the Chatterbox, Little Miss Ocean City, Junior Miss Ocean City and Miss Ocean City.
