Wilson, Allegretto Re-Elected to Council Leadership Positions

Jay Gillian was sworn in for four more years as mayor, and Peter Madden was sworn in to council for the first time during Tuesday's Reorganization Meeting.

Anthony Wilson was unanimously re-elected as City Council President, and Michael Allegretto was unanimously re-elected as City Council Vice President during Ocean City's Reorganization Meeting Tuesday afternoon, ocnjdaily.com reports.

Allegretto and Keith Hartzell were also sworn in to their third terms on council, while Peter Madden was sworn into council for the first time.

Jay Gillian was sworn in to his second term as mayor.

All four were victorious in the spring elections.

The meeting included the following four appointments:

* Councilman Antwan L. McClellan to the Ocean City Planning Board;

* Councilman Michael DeVlieger as Liaison to the Utility Advisory Commission;

* Allegretto to the Tourist Development Commission; and

* Allegretto to the Business and Neighborhood Development Association (B.A.N.D.)
