Week in Review: BYOB Fight Still Alive, Bird Count Begins

A weekly recap of the past week's news.

This week we saw the passing of a pop star, said goodbye to a local priest and met some student artists. Here are some highlights from the past week's news:

On Monday, we reported that January of 2012 was one of the warmest ever, announced that PSEG are offering school grants for environmental partnerships, listed some things everyone should know from the last city council meeting, took a look at some birds and saw the state senate approve a bill legalizing same-sex marriage.

On Tuesday, we met some student artists at Ocean City Intermediate School and saw students at the school collect food during "souper bowl" week, heard a love story on Valentine's Day, saw Tony Wilson announce he will run to retain his third ward council seat and announced that Mayor Jay A. Gillian has changed the date of an upcoming second ward community meeting.
