See If Your Street Is On Ocean City's To-Do List

City Council hears a 2013 capital plan update at a Thursday workshop.

In January, Mayor Jay Gillian's administration outlined a $50 million, five-year plan to complete a to-do list of long-neglected projects: roads that don't drain, lagoons with no water, a warped and splintered boardwalk, bulkheads that fail to hold back the bay and a host of other public facilities in disrepair.

And on Thursday night (June 20), the administration delivered an update on projects in the works for 2013. The report was part of a City Council workshop meeting at the Ocean City Free Public Library.

The plan includes an estimated $9.1 million alone for paving and drainage improvements between fall 2013 and spring 2015.

The documents also will be posted on the Capital Projects page of the city's website, along with the complete capital plan for 2013 to 2017 and the city's road rating system that determines priorities for repairs. Visit the Ocean City Capital Projects page.
