Polls Open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Primary Election on Tuesday
Voters on June 5 will decide party candidates for U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
Ocean City voters will go to the polls on Tuesday, June 5, to pick Republican and Democratic candidates for county and federal races in the November 2012 general election.
The polls will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and polling places are as follows (numbers indicate ward-district):

- (1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5)
- Eighth Street Recreation Center (2-1, 2-5)
- Ocean City Sports and Civic Center (2-2, 2-3, 2-4)
- (3-1)
- (3-2, 3-3, 3-4)
- (3-5)
- (4-1, 4-3, 4-4, 4-5)
- (4-2)

Any registered voter currently affiliated with a political party can vote only in that party's primary election. Any affiliated voter would have had to change their party affiliation 55 days ago to be eligible to vote in today's primary election.
A registered voter currently not affiliated with a political party may declare their party affiliation and vote today.

The ballot in Ocean City will include the following contested races:
- Republican candidates for U.S. Senate:Joe "Rudy" Rullo, Bader G. Qarmout, Joe Kyrillos, David Douglas Brown (See the NJ Spotlight Voter's Guide for this race.)
- Republican candidates for U.S. House of Representatives: incumbent Frank A. LoBiondo, Mike Assad (See the NJ Spotlight Voter's Guide for this race.)
- Democratic candidates for U.S. House of Representatives: Cassandra Shober, Viola Hughes, Gary Stein (See the NJ Spotlight Voter's Guide for this race.)
The primary ballot includes Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney (who clinched the nomination on May 29 after the Texas primary), Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul and Rick Santorum.
The primary also includes uncontested races for Cape May County surrogate, the Cape May County Board of Freeholders and the Cape May County Republican Committee.
The three Republican candidates for U.S. Senate are vying to challenge incumbent Democrat Robert Menendez, who was appointed to fill the seat vacated when Jon Corzine became New Jersey governor. Menendez was elected to a full six-year term in 2006.
U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo is running for this 10th term representing the 2nd Congressional District. The Republican faces one challenger from his own party in Tuesday's election. Three Democrats are competing to run against him.
