Patch Is Collecting Questions for Obama and Romney During the Next Presidential Debate

If you have a question for the candidates, submit it in the comments section below and it could be asked during the televised Oct. 16 Town Hall Presidential Debate.

If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.

The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.

Patch is asking you, our Ocean City Patch readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.

All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.

Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments!

Question for President Obama: four years ago, you and other prominent Democrats, made soaring gas prices a significant platform on your election campaign. Today, gasoline prices are more than double the price per gallon when you took office. In 2008, you said that you empathized with those having to drive to a job interview but could not afford the price of gas to get there. You pointed the finger at the prior administration as the problem, but not only have we not seen improvement, prices are much higher today with no expectation of it falling any time soon. Why should we believe your promises in this regard this time around?

Dear Mr. Romney, Can you please explain why when you look at the Electoral College map the states that you have a lead in are the states where most of the 47%ers live and where education levels are lowest? http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/09/where-are-the-47-of-americans-who-pay-no-income-taxes/262499/

Could you please explain to me what the new rider clause is in the NDDA. I am very concerned about the fact the new clause in it allows the indefinite detention without judicial oversight (without a warrant, probable cause, or proof of wrong doing) of American Citizens. So basically are rights have been taken away from us.

For President Obama: A considerable number of questions and accusations were raised by your campaign commitee and Democtrat officials, Stephanie Cutter, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and Harry Reid, about Gov. Rommey's not releasing his last decade's tax returns until recently. Why have you refused to release your college transcripts and passport?
