Mr. Mature America Money to Benefit Food Cupboard, Philippine Reconstruction

The food cupboard and the Philippine Reconstruction Project will receive the donations Tuesday morning.

Money raised by the inaugural Mr. Mature America Pageant will be donated to the Ocean City Food Cupboard and the Philippine Reconstruction Fund.

A set of $1,000 checks will be presented to the food cupboard and the Philippine Reconstruction Fund Tuesday morning at city hall, the city announced Sunday morning.

Consul Zaldy Patron from the Philippine Consul General’s Office in New York will accept the check on behalf of the Philippines and discuss current conditions in the country.

The Mr. Mature America pageant was the first in the country to honor men over the age of 60. Frank Farfalli Jr., 61, of Cape May, won the inaugural pageant on March 22 at the Ocean City Music Pier.
