First Ward Meeting Set for Oct. 9

First Ward Councilman Mike DeVlieger invites anybody with an interest in local issues to attend a ward meeting 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Bayside Center.

Ocean City Finance Director Frank Donato will speak about the municipal budget process. 

Donato's presentation will be followed by an update on a First Ward meeting in July that addressed road hazards. The meeting will also include an open forum on any issues attendees would like to raise.

The First Ward includes all Ocean City streets and addresses from the north end of the island (at the Longport-Ocean City toll bridge) to the north side of Fourth Street.

The meeting is part of a series of ward events designed to convey information and address "plans for actionable items," according to DeVlieger. 

The Bayside Center is located off Bay Avenue between Fifth and Sixth streets.
