Cape May County Tourism Grew By 2 Percent in 2013

Its growth outpaced the growth in state tourism last year.

Tourism in Cape May County grew by 2 percent, outpacing growth in state tourism, the Press of Atlantic City reports. Tourism in the state grew 1 percent last year.

The county saw 1 percent growth in tourism jobs, up to 25,479 workers, according to the report. The county generated $5.5 billion in tourism revenue in 2013.

The county pushed for more Canadian visitors with a campaign in Quebec, and may expand those efforts to Ontario, according to the report.
