A proposed project that would've put two bike lanes in a four-lane stretch of West Avenue is in limbo until the fall, ocnjdaily.com reports.

A bid for the project was to have been awarded by the county, but an issue with documentation means the project must be re-bid in the fall.

Where is the logic in taking the most heavily traveled road in the south end of Ocean City and adding bicycle lanes? Why not make Asbury Avenue one way and have a full wide lane for a bicycle path
