Awarding Contract to Reconstruct Stretch of Boardwalk on Slate for Thursday's Council Meeting

Council meets Thursday night at City Hall.

Ocean City Council will award contract to reconstruct part of the Boardwalk at its July monthly meeting 7 p.m. Thursday at the City Hall Council Chambers.

The contract is for reconstruction of the boardwalk from 6th Street to Plaza Place.

Council will also vote for a request for a quote for the reconstruction of the 29th Street Firehouse-Station #2, and vote to award contract for the waterproofing and exterior painting of the Music Pier.

It will be council's first session since last Tuesday's Reorganization Meeting, in which Peter Madden was sworn in to his first term on council and Council President Anthony Wilson and Council Vice President Michael Allegretto were unanimously reappointed to their current positions.

gilligan strikes again! all this boardwalk spending is happening right near his own business. And we are overpaying for the work on the 29th street firehouse. gilligan and his band of merry men are rejecting a good local architect. WOW

Elias the boardwalk project started at 5th and is headed toward 12th one block per year. The project started at 5th this is the second block to be completed. This has nothing to do with Wonderland.

Is there a FIRM date for southend beach replenishment yet? I am really tired of this boardwalk renewal while our homes on the south end sit unprotected
