Tuesday Marks 5 Year Anniversary of Asbury Avenue Man's Disappearance

John Weisbecker went missing on March 11, 2009.

An Asbury Avenue man will have been missing for five years on Tuesday.

On March 11, 2009, John Weisbecker went missing, police said Sunday morning. He was last seen at 10:30 a.m. that day by a postal worker, and it is believed he went missing sometime before noon.

His family officially discovered him missing around 8 p.m. when they returned home for the day. Evidence at the scene indicates signs of a struggle, and that he didn't leave of his own free will.

At the time of the disappearance, Weisbecker is described as a white male, 6-foot-2 with blue eyes, brown hair, a brown mustache, blue eyes with numerous tattoos on his arms and torso. He would be 25 years old today.

The investigation is ongoing by the Ocean City Police Department, the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office, the FBI and New Jersey State Police.

A reward of $50,000 is being offered to anyone with information on Weisbecker's whereabouts. Anyone with information is asked to call the following numbers:
