Minerva and Ocean City Police Detective Mark Pancoast vacationed together in Ocean City with their families when they were growing up.

In 1998, Minerva and Pancoast became summer officers for the Ocean City Police Department. In 2002, Minerva went to work for the New Jersey State Division of Corrections at Trenton State Prison.

Minerva and his family continued to visit and vacation in Ocean City, while maintaining friendships with members of the OCPD. Chris has maintained close relationships with other members of our 1998 special police class, many of whom have become members of the New Jersey State Police and other local police departments.

The officers are gathering and invite the public to join them on Sunday at DiOrio's to support for Minerva. Live entertainment will be provided by www.bobbyfingers.com an Ocean City local, and local bagpipers from Wildwood.

The Ocean City PBA Local No. 61 has already donated $1,600 to help Minerva's family.
