UPDATE: Flash Flood Warning Issued After Hard Rain Falls

Radar estimates that 3 to 4 inches fell in the area. A warning means flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the area move to higher ground.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly issued a Flash Flood Warning for the Ocean City area as the region deals with a major rainfall.

The warning is for northern Cape May County and Southeastern Atlantic County. The cities include Ocean City and Atlantic City.

Radar estimates that 3 to 4 inches fell in the area. A warning means flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the area move to higher ground.

The line of strong thunderstorms moved northeast and hit beach areas while the flood warning was in effect through 1:15 p.m., according to The Ocean City Daily.

In Ocean City, the flooding plunged cars under water on some streets, wile kayakers paddled down others, according to the publication.
