Boat Capsizes Near Longport Bridge, None Injured

Incident occurred on Sunday afternoon.

A boat capsized near the Ocean City-Longport bridge on Sunday afternoon, but no one was injured as a result of the incident, according to the .

The Ocean City Beach Patrol first responded to the incident around 12:30 p.m., but by the time they arrived the three victims of the accident had already been helped by nearby boaters, Capt. John Murphy of the Ocean City Fire Department said.

The three victims were then taken to be checked out by EMS, but none was hospitalized and no injuries were reported, Murphy said.

The Ocean City Police Department also responded to the incident and the scene was turned over to the New Jersey State Police and the United States Coast Guard, according to Murphy.
