Great guy , long time member of Greate Bay CC . Born same day as my dad. Lots of people appreciated the wit and humor Joe exuded. He will be missed . Had great dignity throughout a long and painful illness . God bless!

Did you know that joe was one of the founding members of the O.C.Men's Glee Club and that he had a beautiful .voice, too? He also, was a GREAT story/joke teller and a VERY GOOD golfer. He was a VERY GOOD friend to me (his wife, Jane, and I were "bosom buddies") and "drove him "nuts" at times) but he was always a great host and , in my book, a GREAT GUY

I wish to make a correction to my comment (above). To quote Harold Lee in his HISTORY OF OCEAN CITY published in 1965:The Ocean City Male Chorus was formed in 1961. Prime movers in the enterprise were Stanley Hurst and Joseph E. Shomo, Jr." Joe would prefer that name to "Glee Club" wouldn't he ?
