Admission Buttons Still Available for Ocean City First Night

All-inclusive admission buttons good for about 60 entertainment programs at 18 different venues as part of Ocean City's nonalcoholic First Night celebration are still available on Tuesday (Dec. 31).

How to purchase admission buttons:

  • Buttons ($15) are good for all events.
  • Available at Stainton’s Square, 800 block of Asbury Avenue, until 8 p.m. Dec. 31.
  • After 8 p.m., they will be available at the Ocean City Sports and Civic Center on Sixth Street near the boardwalk.
  • Children age 2 and under are free.

Sales of admission buttons are capped at 10,000, but event organizers do not expect to sell out.

There is no rain in the forecast for Tuesday evening. Low temperatures will be in the 20s Tuesday night with northwest winds.

On Tuesday afternoon, crews were assembling an ice-skating rink behind the Civic Center, one of the new attractions for 2014. The rink uses a slick waterless surface, and it will open at 4 p.m. with skates available to anybody.

Other new attractions include rides on the football field at Ocean City High School (near the skating rink) and movies at the new Moorlyn Family Theatre.
