Play Bingo, Win a Coach Bag, Help Scholarship Fund
Ocean City Colony Club's 'Coach Bingo' event is scheduled for Nov. 10.
Tickets are on sale now for a Nov. 10 bingo event that will offer Coach brand designer handbags as prizes.
The Ocean City Colony Club is sponsoring the event with registration starting at noon and bingo at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Elks Club (1815 Somers Point-Mays Landing Road) in Egg Harbor Township.
The Colony Club awards about $3,000 each year in scholarships and donations to Ocean City youth. A college scholarship goes to Ocean City High School girl each year, four awards go to Intermediate School students and the club buys shirts for Ocean City Youth and Athletic Association players.
But because a charity fashion show was cancelled last year in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, the club is looking to its Coach Bingo event as an important way to replenish scholarship funds.
