Leave Food by Mailbox on Saturday to Help Local Cupboard

Ocean City mail carriers will participate in the Postal Food Drive on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The Cape May County Postal Food Drive is Saturday, Dec. 7. It benefits the Ocean City Ecumenical Council Community Food Cupboard.

Cape May County letter carriers will be collecting nonperishable food items to fill the local food cupboard. Leave any nonperishable foods by your mailbox and the mail carrier will pick it up.

Items needed are: canned meats, vegetables, fruit, tomatoes, pasta and soup; cereal, tuna, macaroni and cheese, pork and beans, ramen noodles, dry milk, juice, jelly, peanut butter, jello or pudding mix, crackers and rice. Microwavable items like macaroni and cheese, soup, rice and other non-refrigerated meals are also needed, as well as laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toilet paper and paper towels.
