Ocean City Historical Museum’s Summer Lecture Series

The Flanders Hotel opened with a gala dinner dance on July 28, 1923. Jack G. Jernee, the captain of the Ocean City Beach Patrol, attended the party, beginning a long association between the lifeguards and the hotel.

Fred Miller, OCBP historian, will discuss this association at the Ocean City Historical Museum’s first Summer Lecture Series program. It will be held Thursday, July 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ocean City Arts Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue.
