Literacy Volunteer Tutor Training Workshop

Our 5 week Volunteer Tutor Training Worshop begins this Saturday at the Ventnor Library! We have space available if you'd like to register in person. This workshop will qualify you to volunteer to help adults in our communities who want to improve their reading, writing and English language skills.  Upon completion of the five week workshop, volunteer tutors will be matched with an adult learner, and arrange to meet for about two hours per week at a convenient public location (local library, etc) to help the student progress towards their individual literacy/language goals.  This is a rewarding and interesting way to give back to the community-there are many reasons a person can't read-be one of the reasons that they CAN!
