Gasland II Screening and Pinelands Pipeline Q&A in Ocean City

Right now the Pinelands
Commission is considering a proposal by South Jersey Gas to install a
brand new pipeline across the Pinelands Forest Area. If approved the
pipeline would cut through one of the most unique and important
ecosystems in the world to supply the BL England power plant with a
steady stream of gas produced through the dangerous technique of
hydraulic fracturing, or fracking.

Join us at the Ocean City Library on October 13th for a screening of the documentary film GASLAND II and to learn more about the pipeline project and the threat fracking presents to our region.

GASLAND II focuses on the people who are suffering from fracking
operations in their backyards, the politics of shale, the domination of
mainstream media by the industry, the science behind fracking and what
we can do to get off of polluting fossil fuels and on to renewable,
sustainable and truly clean energy sources before we reach climate
collapse.

Shale gas infrastructure is already impacting
communities across the state and that is why we need to join together to
keep this pipeline out of the Pinelands region. South Jersey needs
more renewable energy and to stop depending on polluting fossil fuels.
By defeating this pipeline we can start the transition to a clean energy
future.

GASLAND II Screening and Q&A

When: Sunday, October 13th at 2:30 pm
Where: Ocean City Library
1735 Simpson Ave, Ocean City, NJ 08226

The Pinelands is too precious to put at risk for dirty fossil fuel
infrastructure. This pipeline will cut a scar through the region causing
irreparable harm that cannot be mitigated. Hope you can join us on Oct
13th to learn more.
