'Songs for Our City' Benefit Concert

A benefit concert on Saturday, Jan. 12, will help raise money for OCNJ CARE, the volunteer organization coordinating Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

"Songs For Our City" will be held 4 p.m. Jan. 12 at St. John Lutheran Church at 10th Street and Central Avenue.

The concert is "to raise funds for OCNJ Care and raise spirits as we rebuild from Hurricane Sandy," according to organizer Deborah Pruitt.

The concert will feature local performers from Ocean City Theatre Company, Ocean City Repertory Theater and other groups, and include professional soloists such as Bill Scheible, Nancy Fox, Robert Snodgrass, Debby and Jim Dalfonso and more.

As a former Miss Cape May County and professional performer, Pruitt said she thought, "What better way could we pay tribute to the arts in our area, while raising funds to continue the inspirational work OCNJ CARE has started?"
