Poll: Who Do You Support in Ocean City's Mayoral Election

Do you support Jay Gillian or Ed Price?

In less than two months, Ocean City voters will head to the polls for the non-partisan municipal elections.

Resident Ed Price will challenge Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian May 13.

“I want to continue the progress we've made as we've stabilized operating expenses and significantly increased our capital improvement program,” Gillian said when he announced his candidacy. “I want to provide proven, common sense leadership to maintain Ocean City as ‘America's Greatest Family Resort, a great place to live, raise a family, invest or visit.”

Price, a 35-year Ocean City resident and CEO of Computer Service and Support in Somers Point, said he’d like to see more of a long-term approach to the issues.

Do you agree with Price? Do you support Gillian? Participate in our poll and let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

jay Gillian has a record to stand on. this election comes down to whether or not you believe he did a good job. if you think he did a good job, you will vote for him. if not, you will vote for his opponent.

can we confirm that Fairness in Taxes is indeed holding a Debate with the Mayoral Candidates on April 7th? Time/Place/Format? I know of many people who will be interested in attending and would like to get the word out.

The effort that is put into these upcoming elections, forums, debates, etc is very amusing. We all know the outcome--good ole' boys, more development and higher taxes. Debates about what? Most of the topics of debate are mind numbing regurgitations of what we read on here over and over. Just saying….

the FIT debate is tentatively scheduled for 7:00pm on april 7 in the library conference room. Doug Bergen will be the moderator and choose the questions, which have been submitted by the public, along with the editor of the ocean city sentinel, david nahan. FIT will not be involved in the debate.

when were the questions submitted? I never even seen this posted soliciting questions. have the candidates agreed to this debate? not sure why it's still "tentatively" with a month to go. are we still able to submit questions? Thank you for the info Vic, hopefully it's a go
