Incumbents Grab Top Spots on Ocean City Elections Ballot

Mayor Jay Gillian and Councilmen Keith Hartzell and Michael Allegretto each landed at the top of the ballot during Friday's random drawing.

The three incumbents in this year's non-partisan municipal elections grabbed the top spots on the ballot during Friday's drawing.

Mayor Jay Gillian and Councilmen Keith Hartzell and Michael Allegretto were each placed into the top spots during Friday's random drawing in the city clerk's office.

The mayor's seat and three council seats are up for grabs in the elections, which take place May 13.

The ballot will look as follows:

Mayor's seat

1. Jay Gillian
2. Ed Price

Council at-large seats

1. Keith Hartzell
2. Michael Allegretto
3. Michael Hyson
4. Eric Sauder
5. Peter Madden

sorry OC, what's stupid is making general statements and then not backing them up. there is a hugh difference between people who are always coming up with problems and those who are attempting to fix them.

Also, I never said everything is perfect in NJ politics. If you want to locate corruption start with our Governor. I do believe are city is run much better than our state.

You cannot solve any problems by anonymously posting accusations against people and organizations. If someone has legitimate problems they want to address or changes they want to make you have to stand up and do so under your real name to add credibility to what your are saying. If you are not willing to do so than you are part of the problem and no one takes you seriously.

While Jeff is correct about anonymous posts to some extent , it is a historical fact in NJ that the government has often retaliated against those who choose to speak out . It has been a particular issue in our town for decades and should be eliminated .
