Whales the Topic of Feb. 24 Movie and Feb. 29 Lecture

The Ocean City Environmental Commission is sponsoring the educational events.

Ocean City's Environmental Commission will sponsor two upcoming events related to whales.

The National Geographic movie Whales in Crisis will be shown 7 to 8:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at the Ocean City Free Public Library.

A lecture entitled Who Beaches in Ocean City? will be given 7 to 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, by Halley Martinez of the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine. It will include some personal anecdotes by Ocean City resident Peaches Lukens on the dead fin whale that washed ashore in January.
