Weekend Events: A.C. Boat Show, Fox Vocal Arts Concert and More

Check a few highlights on the calendar before the Super Bowl on Sunday night.

The Atlantic City Boat Show continues Saturday and Sunday at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

The show takes place 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 4) and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 5). It's sponsored by Progressive Insurance and features hundreds of new boats on display. Admission is $14 for adults with children 15-and-under admitted free.

"I've been there already, and I can say it's somewhat larger than last year (show officials have said about 25 percent larger). They're making use of the entire hall again this year, which is a good sign," said Daniel Nee, a Patch fishing columnist and local editor in Brick.

"As for exhibitors, it's the usual suspects, but there are a lot of cool displays and very cool boats, including new offerings from Contender and a massive hydrogen-powered racing boat. The show is offering more how-to clinics this year (I'm planning on catching the marine electronics clinic on Sunday, personally) and there are a number of games and contests to keep everyone busy."

More details are available on the show's website.
