This storm is expected to impact our area beginning on Wednesday and extending into Thursday. The storm will bring very high winds, heavy rain, beach erosion and coastal flooding. Power outages may occur due to the forecasted high winds. The seriousness of this storm will depend on the exact track it takes and the timing of when it passes Ocean City.

A large berm of sand has been returned to much of the beachfront in an effort to offer some degree of property protection from the coming storm.

Additional heavy equipment will be in use and residents are advised to use caution driving or walking near this equipment.

The city is also requesting assistance with clearing storm drains of leaves and other debris. The city resources are spread thin at this time, so residents who are able are asked to please inspect and clear the storm drains in your neighborhood prior the arrival of the storm.

Please do not overfill or place materials around the dumpsters located throughout the city. If a dumpster is full, please take to the Shelter Road location or hold your materials for disposal until after the coming storm.

The Shelter Road Recycling Center has extended hours from 7am to 5pm seven days a week until further notice.  Dumpsters are for residents, property and business owners ONLY. Contractors CANNOT use dumpsters.
