Republican Club Invites Public to Hear Speaker on Presidential Race

The Ocean City Republican Club invites the public to attend their meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Ocean City Public Library Room 110.

Guest speaker Todd Eachus will give his insights on this crucial race for the White House.

Eachus was a press secretary and senior legislative aide in the U.S. House of Representatives, handling a wide variety of issues including judicial and foreign affairs, defense and telecommunication issues.

Prior to that, Eachus spent 10 years in the U.S. Navy flying in S-3 Viking Jets where he accumulated more than 2,000 flight hours and more than 450 carrier landings, serving aboard the USS America in the Red Sea and Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield. 

Eachus worked for Congressman Curt Weldon (PA) and was press secretary and legislative advisor for Congresswoman Deborah Pryce (OH).  He has authored several scholarly pieces examining the nexus of the news media and foreign policy in the post cold war and has been an adjunct professor of political communication at The George Washington University.
