Historical Images: The Chestnut at Third and Wesley

Our weekly feature includes photographs from the Ocean City Historical Museum collection and from the modern era.

This week's "Then and Now" features The Chestnut, located on the northwest corner of Third Street and Wesley Avenue.

The Chestnut was a rooming house at 248 Wesley Avenue. The first image is an undated photo from a real estate listing. The property was for sale for $10,897!

The second image shows the building as it appears today, a four-unit condominium. The property sold for $328,000 in 2000 and was renovated to its current use. Three of the four units sold for a total of $725,900 in 2001-02.
