Historical Images: Merion Place and Central Avenue

Our weekly feature includes photographs from the Ocean City Historical Museum collection and from the modern era.

This week's "Then and Now" features a home located in the 4700 block of Central Avenue that survived the infamous nor'easter that struck Ocean City from March 6 to 8 in 1962.

The home standing on the northeast corner of Merion Place and Central Avenue is shown in the first image surrounded with debris from homes and sand the ocean washed across Central Avenue.

The second image shows the home as it appears today.
